Programs
| Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care offers grief counseling and bereavement programs available free of charge to anyone dealing with loss. Services include special seminars, education, support groups and individual counseling for up to 13 months after the loss of a loved one. |
Seminars are designed to encourage those with a heavy heart and to help participants grow through positive, hands-on experiences. All seminars focus on providing practical
applications for the way we live today.
Annual Celebration of Life
This program shows participants how to celebrate life and memories and is held each spring at the beautiful McGill Rose Garden in Charlotte, NC.
Sunny Days Children's Camp
This program is a day camp for children ages 5 - 13, who have lost someone special in their lives. Through games, play, arts, crafts and music, children learn that grief is not a process of forgetting, but remembering with less pain. Sunny
Days is held in September each year.
Now, What Do I Do?
This class is a practical hands-on workshop for those facing everyday challenges like cooking for one after the loss of a loved one.
Handling the Holidays
All holidays and celebrations can be
difficult after loss. Refocus your holiday energy with class activities including changing the tune of the holiday blues; ways to heal the body, heart and soul and creating holiday memorials. This program is typically scheduled for the first week in November and takes place in the
Charlotte, Huntersville, Matthews
and Mint Hill communities.
Customized Programming
