The Presbyterian Critical Care Transport Unit is available for patients requiring transport from one location to another. Staffed 24 hours a day, our Unit can be on its way to a facility within 15 minutes of a call. Our teams of certified nurses provide a seamless level of hospital-quality care from the point of pick-up to the final destination. Our vehicles are equipped with the same resources you would find in a hospital critical care unit including:
- A full complement of emergency and advanced cardiac life support medications
- Non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
- The capabilities of offering 12-lead ECG transmission, which allows physicians to determine whether the patient should be taken directly to the cath lab upon arrival at the destination hospital
- Ability to perform endotracheal intubations and ventilator management
