More than 125,000 emergency patients are treated at Presbyterian Healthcare facilities each year.
Special Notice to Presbyterian Hospital Emergency Department Patients:
Due to construction, the parking lot by the Emergency Department at Presbyterian Hospital is closed. Free valet services for emergency patients will be available at the current Emergency Department entrance on N. Caswell Road, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Presbyterian Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville and Presbyterian Hospital Matthews offer advanced emergency services to ensure rapid response and treatment in any situation. In addition to expert emergency medicine physicians, nurses and technologists, Presbyterian facilities are equipped with patient monitoring systems, X-ray technology, on-site labs and surgical suites.
Presbyterian Hospital
The Emergency Department entrance at Presbyterian Hospital is accessed from Caswell Road between Fourth and Fifth Streets.
Express Care Area
Presbyterian Hospital's Emergency Department offers a minor care area to treat common illnesses and injuries such as colds, coughs, rashes, simple lacerations and injuries to the extremities.

Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville
Since opening in 2004, Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville has provided remarkable emergency care close to home for residents of Huntersville and surrounding communities. The Emergency Department is accessed by using the hospital's main drive off Gilead Road (Exit 23 on I-77). The red emergency signs will direct you to the department's main entrance.
Presbyterian Hospital Matthews
Presbyterian Hospital Matthews offers the latest in emergency medicine, as well as expert physicians and staff. The Emergency Department at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews is accessed by using the hospital's main drive off Matthews Township Parkway. Look for the red emergency signs directing you to the Emergency Department entrance.
Additional Emergency Services
The Presbyterian Critical Care Transport Unit is available to bring infants, children and adults who are in serious condition from other hospitals to Presbyterian facilities for treatment.
The Presbyterian Hospital Emergency Department's SANE program provides a timely, compassionate response to sexual assault victims through the use of specially trained forensic nurses and highly technical equipment.
In the event that immediate medical attention is needed but does not warrant an emergency room visit, Presbyterian offers several urgent care options located throughout the Greater Charlotte area.
