| Diabetes affects nearly 1 in 20 Americans. People who are newly diagnosed with diabetes often need help adjusting to the new reality of their lives. Presbyterian Diabetes Resource Center helps patients use the latest treatment tools and information to properly manage their care. |
The Diabetes Resource Center has programs designed for anyone living with diabetes, no matter when they were diagnosed. We help patients use the latest treatment tools and information to properly manage their care. Our program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association as a comprehensive outpatient educational program that includes teaching people how to regulate their eating habits, medication, exercise, stress levels and illness to help them maintain optimal health. The goal is to prevent or lessen the complications that people often experience with diabetes.
Once you are referred to our Center, a certified diabetes educator will assess your health and design a plan to suit your needs. This plan may include individual counseling and group classes where appropriate. A full report will be sent to your physician, maintaining the communication between health team members.
