Child Life Weekly Activities
| Child Life Specialists are members of the healthcare team who are sensitive to, and focus on, the needs of hospitalized children. The Hemby Child Life Specialist team coordinates a variety of weekly activities and special events to ease the stress of being in the hospital. |
Weekly Activities
| Mondays | Traveling Tales plays instruments and music, reads stories and blows bubbles for patients. Arts for Life available all day. |
| Tuesday and Thursday | Pet Therapy dogs from Paws for All and Southern Comforts visit patients |
| Wednesdays | Christina Palmer, a local artist, creates portraits using colored paper and pastels. Arts for Life available beginning at 1:30 p.m. |
| Thursdays | Arts for Life available until 12:30 p.m. |
| Fridays | Child Life serves ice cream sundaes filled with sprinkles, candy toppings and syrups to patients. Arts for Life available beginning at 1:30 p.m. |
