Knowing the warning signs of peripheral vascular disease is a very important part of treating the disease early and effectively.
The most common sign of peripheral vascular disease is leg pain that occurs when walking or running that stops while resting. This is known as claudication and occurs when there is not enough blood flowing through the legs during exercise.
