Cancer Statistics and Annual Report
| Learn more about the number of patients who are diagnosed and treated each year at Presbyterian Cancer Center. |
The tumor registry at Presbyterian Hospital is the data collection service for the Cancer Center. Once collected, these cancer cases are confidentially reported to the North Carolina Cancer Registry as required by law. All information is collected by trained personal and is used to compile demographic, diagnostic and treatment statistics.
Lifetime follow up is maintained to help physicians and other health care professionals determine which cancer treatments yield positive results and what new therapies and diagnostic techniques are needed.
Each year the tumor registry compiles a Cancer Center annual report based on the previous year's data.
