Clinical Trials for Pediatric Cancers
We offer a number of clinical trials for children and young adults who have been diagnosed with a variety of types of cancer.
Want more information?
Contact us at 704-384-5369 to learn more about our clinical trials.
Potential benefits of enrolling your child in a clinical trial include:
  • Health care provided by leading physicians in the field of cancer research
  • Access to new drugs and interventions before they are widely available
  • Close monitoring of your child's health care and any side effects
  • A more active role in your child's health care.
  • If the approach being studied is found to be helpful, your child may be among the first to benefit
  • An opportunity to make a valuable contribution to cancer research
The decision to have your child take part in a clinical trial is a voluntary and personal one. We encourage you to talk with your family and loved ones, as well as members of your health care team, before deciding. Clinical trials may be found to be more or less effective than current standard treatments and may have side effects not yet known. You will be informed of these risks as much as possible. Your health care team will give you the information you need to make the decision that is right for you and your child.

With designated physicians, nurses, and other health professionals who specialize in the pediatric population, we are able to offer clinical trials in the treatment of most childhood cancers.

The childrens Oncology Group is an international research organization supported by the National Cancer Institute. In collaboration with COG, Presbyterian Center for Cancer Research is devoted to the development of new treatments and cures for cancers of infants, children, adolescents and young adults.
