Colorectal Cancer
Colorectal cancer is cancer of the colon or rectum, and is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers for both men and women in the United States. It is more common in people over the age of 40.
Removing precancerous cells that may be present in the colon can prevent colorectal cancer before invasive cancer develops. Despite the availability of effective screening tests, colorectal cancer screening is not used very often. Therefore, Presbyterian promotes the use of colorectal cancer screening at regular intervals to help prevent this disease.
