Inpatient Oncology
| The Cancer Center's Inpatient Oncology Unit provides complete services for adult cancer patients and their families. |
A team of healthcare providers manages the following ongoing needs: physical, nutritional, psychosocial, spiritual and educational.
The Inpatient Oncology Unit is located on the third floor (3A) of Presbyterian Hospital. This 32-bed unit offers chemotherapy, radiation/radioisotope management, stem cell transplant, telemetry monitoring and symptom management.
Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team that includes medicine, nursing, pharmacy, nutritional services, medical resource management, chaplain services, medical social work, hospice liaison nurse and rehabilitation therapy. An individual plan of care is developed based on each patient's individual needs.
