Novant Health Matthews Medical Center offers a wide range of cancer services including chemotherapy, support for stem cell transplant patients, blood product transfusions and other therapeutic services.
Commission on Cancer® Accreditation
The Matthews Medical Center Cancer Center is accredited by the Commission on Cancer® as an Integrated Cancer Program. Our Cancer Center has helped residents in our community beat cancer and lead full, happy lives. Our patients benefit from a customized approach to cancer care. We provide a variety of treatment options and support programs so that every survivor's physical and emotional needs are met through treatment and beyond.
Outpatient Oncology Care Unit
Located on the first floor of Matthews Medical Center, this unit can be accessed off of the main lobby within the hospital. The outpatient unit provides daily care for adult oncology, hematology and other patients who require oncology nursing care.
The unit is staffed by a team of registered nurses who have completed special training in oncology nursing, including chemotherapy administration.
