Level III Special Care Nursery
The Level III Special Care Nursery at Huntersville Medical Center provides around-the-clock care for little ones who need it most. In this nursery, neonatologists (physicians who specialize in the care of premature and sick babies) work closely with a team of specially-trained registered nurses, respiratory therapists, medical social workers and other neonatal professionals.

The mobile unit and its specialized treatment team respond quickly to calls. Intensive care treatment begins immediately upon arrival at Huntersville Medical Center and continues during transport to Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital in Charlotte.
