Tanya Blackmon, President
Tanya has served as president of Huntersville Medical Center since 2009. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Business Administration from Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina, a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from North Carolina A&T State University.
Tanya joined Novant Health in 1992 as the director of inpatient discharge planning. During her tenure with Novant Health, she has held a wide variety of leadership roles. In her role as director of clinical improvement and community care services, her responsibilities included clinical improvement, infection control, medical management and disease management (e.g., the Diabetes Resource Center, the Heart Failure Clinic and the Sickle Cell Clinic). She has also been responsible for the orthopedics and neurosciences service lines at Presbyterian Medical Center.
In recognition of her leadership, Ms. Blackmon was named the 1997 North Carolina Social Work Administrator in Healthcare of the Year and in 1998 was named by the Charlotte Business Journal as one of the Top 40 under 40 up and coming leaders in the community. In 2008, she received the Professional Achievement Award by The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club, Inc.
Inge Garrison, Senior Director of Patient Care Services
Inge has served as senior director of patient care services at Huntersville Medical Center since 2004. She received her BSN in 1996 from Queens University and in 2002 completed her MSN at Queens University with Concentration in Healthcare Management.
Inge joined Novant Health in 1996 as the manager of trauma services in Charlotte. Since then, she has held a variety of leadership positions, including nurse manager and director of patient care services at Huntersville Medical Center. Inge also has served as faculty at the Presbyterian School of Nursing at Queens University.
In the community, Inge serves on the board of directors of United Family Services; on the board of trustees at the Ada Jenkins Center; and helps build leaders of the future through Leadership Novant in affiliation with the UNC-Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler School of Business.
Kathi Robinson, Senior Director of Professional & Support Services
Kathi has served as senior director of professional and support services at Huntersville Medical Center since 2011. She received her Bachelor's degree in 1992 from Marshall University, and in 2012 completed her MHA at Pfeiffer University.
Kathi joined Novant Health in 1995 as a certified therapeutic recreation specialist. Since then, she has held a variety of leadership positions, including manager of guest and volunteer services at Novant Health Charlotte Orthopedic Hospital.
In the community, Kathi serves on the board of directors of the Catawba River District and on the cabinet of the United Way. She has been recognized as the 2010 Novant Health Charlotte Orthopedic Hospital Leader of the Year.
