If you are leaving the hospital during your child’s stay, these resources may help you find what you need without having to stray far from the hospital. As always, please ask a member of your Hemby team or guest services should you have specific questions or need additional directions.
Transportation
The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) has a free trolley line, the Gold Rush, that runs on weekdays from Presbyterian Hospital. It operates every 15 minutes from 6:41 a.m. to 6:11 p.m., Monday through Friday. Check the Gold Rush schedule.
Restaurants
While your child is at Hemby, you may want to leave the hospital for a meal and eat in one of the many nearby restaurants. Within just a short distance from the hospital, there are many fast food options, delis, pizza shops and sit-down restaurants. The Hemby front desk can provide you with additional restaurant information.
Recreational Activities
If you need a breath of fresh air, Independence Park is a 24-acre park located right across from the hospital campus. With plenty of walking trails, a playground, picnic tables, basketball courts, tennis courts and much more, you can enjoy the great outdoors without having to venture far away from Presbyterian.
If you want to find a child-friendly activity, visit a museum, attend a sporting event or just explore what Charlotte has to offer, check out the attractions on one of these websites:
