Located within Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital, this specially-designed playground lets children who are feeling well enough to get some fresh air and exercise. Whether riding a bike, flying a plane or romping across London Bridge, the playground provides a special environment for kids to “get away from it all”, while still remaining close to the medical care they need. There are even outlets on the playground to plug in IV poles or other medical devices so playtime doesn't have to stop for medical care!
This playground was made possible thanks to the generous fundraising efforts of Microsoft Corp through the Hemby Cup, an annual fundraiser benefiting pediatric programs at Hemby Children's Hospital.
