Corneal Transplant

The cornea is the transparent outer curve of your eye and can be damaged through serious infections, injury, clouding or swelling. Injury to the cornea may impair eyesight to the point that a corneal transplant is necessary.

A corneal transplant, also called a keratoplasty, can be completed on an outpatient basis to restore vision, reduce eye pain and improve your physical appearance. A corneal graft replaces the injured cornea to correct your vision or any astigmatism from your eye.
