Endoscopy Services

Endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a small scope (tube) called an endoscope to allow our physicians to examine your internal organs, including your esophagus, stomach, intestines, rectum, lungs and kidneys.

An endoscope is a thin bendable tube that shines light and beams back a video picture of your internal organs. Endoscopies are more accurate than X-rays or other imaging for detecting abnormal growths, or other obstructions.

Endoscopies are most often performed using a local anesthetic supplemented by a pain reliever and a sedative given intravenously.
