What are some things that are done during therapy visits?
Therapy visits can include exercise to address your specific issues, manual therapy or education to address your main health concern and the appropriate course of treatment. After your evaluation, specific program ideas will be discussed with you.
Will my doctor be informed of my progress?
Your referring doctor will be notified of the initial plan of care and will receive progress notes prior to return appointments
How many visits will I have to attend for my therapy?
That will be discussed with you at the time of your initial evaluation appointment
Will the therapy be painful?
Although you may be in pain, your therapy should be directed in order to decrease your pain. Your therapist will be able to provide information and self management tools to help with your pain
What can I do at home to help out my improvement?
Your therapist will provide home exercises and education that you can use to help better your individual situation
Is therapy covered by insurance?
Most insurance benefits will be cover therapy services, based on deductibles and individual benefit plans. Although ultimately your responsibility to verify benefit coverage, this information will be covered with you at the initial appointment to make you aware of your coverage.
