What is a Parish Nurse?
A Parish Nurse is a specially prepared RN who works within a faith community as a volunteer or paid employee. Parish Nursing is the practice of providing whole person care to the people of the community. It is a specialized area of nursing and is recognized by the American Nurses Association. Practiced internationally, Parish Nursing is a dedicated ministry developed by Novant Health and local faith communities.
