The following information is designed to help members of the clergy or faith communities who wish to visit a patient.

I am a member of the clergy. How can I get an ID badge?

Please come by Chaplaincy Services at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to have your new clergy photo ID badge made.

How do I find a patient?

• Visitors are allowed at Presbyterian Medical Center, Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center and Novant Health Matthews Medical Center 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To ensure the security of all of our patients, the staff at the information desk inside our main lobbies is happy to assist you in locating a patient. If you need a patient's room number or a map to a particular area within the hospital, please visit the information desk.
• During business hours, you may also locate a patient or visitor by calling Chaplaincy Services at 704-384-4168. After hours, call the main line of the patient's hospital:
  • Presbyterian Medical Center: 704-384-4000
  • Huntersville Medical Center: 704-316-4000
  • Matthews Medical Center: 704-384-6500

Where should I park?

Parking is available at the Presbyterian Medical Center campus in Charlotte in parking garages, and at Huntersville Medical Center and Matthews Medical Center in parking lots adjacent to the hospital. For the most convenient parking information, please contact us at 704-384-4168 with the patient's name and room number.

Lay Minister Information

It is our pleasure to serve lay ministers of your congregation. We cannot issue ID badges/parking access to lay ministers and we can no longer validate their parking tickets. However, there is a flat rate of $3 per day, which is the maximum daily rate, and they may retain their receipt as an all-day pass if needed.
