Kids are the cornerstone of the children’s emergency department. That’s why we designed our exam rooms and nurses’ stations to appeal to younger patients. With colorful under-the-sea murals, a virtual aquarium and fish hanging from overhead, we’ll help your children feel welcome, calm and confident during their emergency department visit.
All of our equipment, seats, stretchers and supplies were specially constructed to fit children up to age 18. And we even have a separate emergency department entrance and waiting room especially for kids and their parents.
Each exam room includes a TV and DVD player, so your kids can watch cartoons or movies while they wait. In addition, our
child life specialists are available to help alleviate stress and ease fears before, during and after treatment.
