Novant Health Pediatric Emergency Department is staffed 24/7 by board-certified emergency medicine physicians and nurses who are trained and experienced in caring for children with all injuries and illnesses. They see kids – and only kids – so they recognize the special care and attention your child needs.
During your visit, you may also see other medical providers, including physicians’ assistants, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, radiology technicians and others. We even have dedicated child-life specialists who are trained to ease children’s fears during treatment and help them cope with being in the hospital.
