When you’re choosing a cancer center, it can be helpful to learn about the treatment history of the organization. Novant Health Cancer Center has made this easy by compiling important information about our program that is available through our tumor registry.
Novant Health Cancer Center’s tumor registry collects patient data and compiles demographic, diagnostic and treatment statistics and then confidentially reports them to the North Carolina Cancer Registry as required by law.
Lifetime follow up is maintained with patients to help physicians and other healthcare professionals determine which cancer treatments yield positive results and what new therapies and diagnostic techniques are needed.
Each year the tumor registry compiles a Cancer Center Annual Report based on the previous year’s data. Each report focuses on a specific type of cancer. For example, the 2011 Cancer Center Patient Outcomes Report below focuses on brain cancer.
