CLIMB (Children's Lives Include Moments of Bravery): New 4-week session begins Oct. 29
Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery (CLIMB) is a group dedicated to the emotional support of children ages 6-12 who have parents or grandparents with cancer. Our facilitators have been specially trained to provide this program. Sessions include 2 groups: one for children ages 6 –12 and one for their parents. New 4-week session begins Tuesday, Oct. 29, 5:30-8 p.m. at Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center. Free, and dinner is included for parents and children, but please call Jessica Diller at 704-384-3516 to register.
Exercise and Cancer: Should I Exercise on My Trip?
Contrary to popular belief, exercising during and after cancer treatment can actually help you decrease your fatigue and improve your quality of life! Join our cancer exercise physiologist and our cancer nurse to learn about why exercise works! Free, but please register using our online calendar, or call 704-384-4400.

Cancer Diagnosis 101: Where Am I Going & What Do I Bring? Your Journey Starts Here
Designed for newly diagnosed cancer survivors and caregivers, this class provides a great intro to the world of cancer. Join us to learn basic info, connect to resources and meet members of your healthcare team. Participants receive a gift package with tools to promote health and wellness. Managing Side Effects of Treatment
Most cancer survivors experience at least one form of side effect during treatment, if not more. The good news is there are things that can be done to manage symptoms such as chemo brain, pain, fatigue, trouble sleeping, hot flashes and more. Living Through Cancer Charlotte (formerly called Support for the Journey)
Join us to network, gain insight, information and support from other survivors. This group is particularly helpful for those who are newly diagnosed. Monthly, first Thursday, at 1 p.m., Novant Health Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center.
Drumming Circle: Drumming to a BEAT
Drum circles follow an ancient tradition of bringing people together. Drumming can be a wonderful outlet for handling stress for patients, family and friends. All ages and experience levels welcome! Monthly, first Thursday, at 7 p.m. Call 704-384-5223 to register.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Family Support Group
Families of blood cancer patients are invited to this new support group. Monthly, first Tuesday, at 10 a.m.

Wellness Massage for Cancer Survivors
Cancer patients/survivors are invited to enjoy the benefits of massage from licensed massage therapists with special training in oncology. Learn More »
Nutrition for Breast Cancer Survivors
Offered as part of the Bosom Buddies support group, this special session gives survivors the opportunity to learn techniques that can maintain or improve their health. Call 704-384-5223 to register for the next session.
Strides to Strength
A 24-session cancer wellness/fatigue management program to improve physical and emotional recovery by focusing on exercise, nutrition and support. This program helps those who are undergoing treatment for cancer or recovering from its effects. Morning, afternoon and evening classes are available. Learn More »
Yoga for Cancer Survivors
Yoga is a well-known wellness activity that, when lead by specially trained staff, can be beneficial for cancer patients/survivors as well. Currently Intro to Yoga classes are offered twice a month and are free. Upon completion of an Intro to Yoga class, drop-in yoga is available several times each week. Learn More »
