Novant Health Cancer Center recognizes the impact cancer can have on you physically, emotionally and spiritually. Through our pastoral care services, a chaplain is available 24 hours a day to provide you and your family members with emotional support, regardless of your religious or spiritual affiliation.

Novant Health Cancer Center strives to create an environment where you can use your faith, in conjunction with treatment, to fight cancer. Research shows a connection between spirituality and good health. For cancer patients this may mean less fear of death, less discomfort and loneliness.

Our pastoral care services offer the following support to cancer patients and their families:

  • Individual and group prayer
  • Counseling by a faith representative of your choice
  • Weekly worship services
  • Pastoral comfort and support
  • Assistance with development of advanced directives and/or living wills
