Our inpatient oncology team cares for you when your treatment requires you to be admitted to our hospital. Your treatment team includes professionals trained and experienced in oncology, nursing, pharmacy, nutritional services, medical resource management, chaplaincy, medical social work, hospice care and rehabilitation therapy. They specialize in individualized in-hospital care to address your physical, nutritional, psychosocial, spiritual and educational needs.
Our inpatient oncology unit, located on the seventh floor of Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, features large patient rooms complete with a guest daybed, workstation, wireless Internet access, flat-screen TVs and large windows with outside views.
Patients who would like a distraction from their room can request Brett’s Cart, an interactive gaming station equipped with a Playstation and computer. Additionally, family members can relax in the family break room (
pictured to the right), located just down the hall from our patient care area. The
Jack Matney Memorial Labyrinth
is also located on the first floor of the hospital and provides patients and families with a quiet retreat.
Our inpatient oncology unit sees patients 18 and up. Pediatric patients who require a hospital stay will be seen by the experts at
Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital.
