The Junior Volunteer program offers an opportunity for teens to learn about healthcare by assisting staff, visitors and patients with non-medical tasks.
Volunteers must be able to follow directions, accept supervision and work independently.
They should exhibit interest and enthusiasm.
We are looking for students who can make a dependable commitment of one shift per
week for an entire program. Students who are interested in serving in a healthcare
setting and who feel they can meet our expectations are invited to apply.
Application Requirements:

Download and complete the Junior Volunteer program application form, which includes
two teacher recommendations: one from a humanities teacher and one from a math or
science teacher (see the Related Links box)

- An interview with the applicant and one of his/her parents
If you are accepted into the Junior Volunteer program, you are required
to attend an orientation class, submit an immunization record, and complete hospital-provided
TB testing before beginning volunteer service.
