Hemby Cup

The Hemby Cup gives sick children, even if it's just for one day, time to forget about treatments, rehabilitation, and medicine—and just have fun.

If, for one short moment in one special day, you could experience a child's joy—hear the laughter, see the smiles, all the while knowing the medical challenges they face each day—wouldn't you want to be part of it?

This annual fundraising hockey event is a face-off between Bank of America and long-time Novant Health supporter Microsoft, benefiting Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital and its related services and programs. Since 2001, funds raised have topped $750,000 and have been used to build a hospital playground, fund the Arts for Life program, and purchase needed medical equipment and toys.

2011 Hemby Cup

2011 marked the 10th anniversary of the Hemby Cup!  The Hemby Cup was played on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Time Warner Cable Arena and was a day of family-friendly fun, with all proceeds benefiting Hemby and the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte. Each ticket was $15 and included:

• General admission to the Hemby Cup game, a Suits vs. Geeks (Microsoft versus Bank of America) matchup at 1 p.m.)
• Post-game skate
• Tickets to the Charlotte Checkers vs. Houston Aeros game at 7 p.m.
