Carmel OB/GYN is expanding, and they now have a full-time obstetrics and gynecology office located in Monroe (1995 Wellness Boulevard, Suite 100) to serve the residents of Union County and the surrounding areas. LaToya Walker, MD and Nikkia Worrell, MD will practice exclusively at this location, and they are currently accepting new patients and same-day appointments.
Dr. Walker attended the University of North Carolina for medical school and completed her ob-gyn residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Her medical interests include adolescent and young adult health, family planning and in-office surgical procedures.
Dr. Worrell also received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina, and she completed her ob-gyn residency at Emory University in Atlanta. She takes a special interest in general women’s health and wellness, obesity and caring for women with polycystic ovarian syndrome.
Carmel OB/GYN is affiliated with Novant Medical Group, and patients of the Monroe office will deliver in the maternity center at Presbyterian Hospital Matthews, just a short distance from Monroe.
