Designation Means Increased Access, Standardized Care for Patients
Presbyterian Cancer Center has been awarded three-year accreditation with commendation as a Network Cancer Program by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons, making it one of only 30 cancer centers across the country to receive this designation.
Accreditation by the CoC is given only to those networks who have voluntarily committed to providing the highest level of quality cancer care and that undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of their performance. To maintain accreditation, networks must undergo an on-site review every three years.
Being a network cancer program ensures that patients at Presbyterian Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville and Presbyterian Hospital Matthews receive the same state-of-the-art comprehensive services including radiation oncology, medical oncology, surgical oncology consultation, pathology and diagnostic imaging while remaining close to home.
