New Audiologist to Join Presbyterian Audiology Team

Presbyterian Rehabilitation Center is pleased to welcome Chelsea Carter-Ellis, AuD, as the newest member of it’s Audiology Services team. A recent graduate of the Audiology Doctoral program, Dr. Carter-Ellis already has an excellent foundation in diagnosing hearing disorders performing comprehensive evaluations, dispensing hearing devices and working with physician and allied health teams for an effective plan of care for each individual patient’s needs.

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) project review hearing today hopefully brings the residents of York County closer to having choice in their hospital care. At the hearing, Presbyterian Healthcare leaders were pleased to share that they had received more than 10,000 letters of support from York County residents and physicians.

Farmers’ markets at Presbyterian Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital Matthews and Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville opened for the season on June 1. The farmers’ markets are open to all employees, guests and the community.

Presbyterian Orthopaedic Hospital recently received 24 awards from Professional Research Consultants (PRC), a national healthcare marketing organization that conducts satisfaction surveys for the hospital. The 2011 National Excellence in Healthcare Awards are distributed based on surveys completed by patients, employees and medical staff members during 2010.
